"Peace as a goal is an ideal which will not be contested by any government or nation, not even the most belligerent."

Aung San Suu Kyi's 60th birthday is today. Suu Kyi has been under house arrest now for over two years in Mynamar. Journalists are denied access to the country. Suu Kyi is denied access to doctors and her family. The nation is denied access to free elections.

Demonstrations are being held today, 19 June, around the globe in a show of support for Suu Kyi. Desmond Tutu will hold a conference in Cape Town. REM will be dedicating tonight's show in Dublin. Hunger strikes will take place in Malayasia. San Francisco will declare 19 June "Aung San Suu Kyi Day." And much, much more.

Sasha-Will just gave me your web address. It sounds like you're having a great time! Back at HHS, Ms. Codo stopped letting Will and me go to the teachers room so we could "review for the final", which included a very pointless game, that Philly and Steve cheated on. It was pretty funny to watch her realize that they were cheating though. We took the first half of the final Friday, it wasn't too bad. Reading comp tomorrow should be fine....oh and we finally got our latin exam results...Will got gold and I got silver. *We're almost out here in Hingham...

Hey Tina!

So good to hear from you. No more teacher's room? Those were good times. Are Sara and Ashley still in there cracking away?

And, ahh, Latin games. Surprising they didn't degenerate into physical violence or obscenities. How'd she realize they were cheating?

Candy or bonus points?

Congrats on the silver medal. I also got a silver, way back at junior awards night.

Reading comprehension is cake. Don't worry.

One more week?
