Cairo 2005
17 year-old girl, one summer, a city of 20 million, and an intensive Arabic program at the American University in Cairo. Cairo...according to Fodor's "is a city with a deeply human touch, unique among the megalopolises of the world. Gregarious and fatalistic, Cairenes give this city its warmth...there is hardly a superlative too vast to capture the epic scale...the chaotic rhythm will enforce this impression, threatening to overwhelm you."
